What You Need to Move Into a Rental: Costs, Documents & Insurance Explained

When applying for and moving into a rental home, landlords and property managers typically require the following:

💰 Upfront Costs (Required)

First Month’s Rent – Due before move-in.
Last Month’s Rent – Required upfront.
Security Deposit – Usually equal to one month’s rent, refundable if the property is left in good condition.
